Founded in 1880 and now in its eighth generation, the winery has been managed over time by the eldest son, who has always carried the name Franz. Over the last 30 years we have focused on Pinot Nero, and with creativity and passion we work this extremely difficult grape variety both in the vineyard and in the cellar. We have distinguished ourselves by innovative choices: in anticipation of climate change, twenty years ago we decided to plant vineyards at altitude and this led us to work on a thousand meters of altitude difference; moreover, after years of study and research we chose the screw cap to ensure the integrity to our wines, which reflect the nature of the grape varieties of which they are an expression and the terroir.
