Founded in 1971 as GARDA MODE, our company began by producing high-quality cut-and-sewn knitwear, mainly for international clients, while managing the entire production process in-house. Over two decades, we became a key player in the European market, producing over 1 million garments annually with a workforce of 180 people and a network of 35 partner companies.
In 1998, a group of managers decided to launch their own brands to showcase 30 years of experience and craftsmanship. This led to the creation of niche labels such as Nordland, GardaModeSport, Makari, Newland, Alpenway, and Dryheat.
In 2008, Garda Mode S.p.A. closed, and the founders of Nordland established Athesis S.r.l., a smaller yet highly skilled company maintaining the same expertise in production.
Our commitment to innovation is reflected in our fabrics, including the groundbreaking Dhtech made of polypropylene fiber, which gives our products a unique competitive edge.
